To get into the zones east of Williams Lake and 100 Mile, local beta is the way to go – stop by Red Shreds Bike and Board Shed and hook up with a crew heading out. The backcountry is always epic, and always amazing. It’s also serious business – avalanches are always a possibility, so keep an eye on conditions, bring your avi gear and, most importantly, know how to use it!
Local skiers are keen and organized and the x-country networks see regular grooming (mostly by volunteers – thanks guys!), organized activities for the little ones, and are all easily accessed.
