The rushing floodwater has damaged large sections of the River Valley road and therefore the city has closed the River Valley trail. As of today, Recreation Sites and Trails (Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development) has not issued trail closures for trail networks in British Columbia. This might become reality if trail users are attending group rides, shuttle in groups and are riding tight with others.
2019 brought a number of major trail upgrades and new trail construction to Quesnel’s “Wonderland” and “Dragon Mountain” networks. Free shuttles for all Williams Lake Cycling Club members by our partner Adventure Charters are cancelled for August the 17th. The shuttles will be re-scheduled for a September Saturday.
