Stormrider DH sees Upgrades

The Stormrider DH trail was constructed in 2010 and has hosted a number of DH races since then. It starts off the 99 Mile XC ski area just south of 100 Mile House and lands you in the bike park right downtown. The bottom of the course was a bit rough in years past as is crossed a series of wet areas. With the support of the Hun City Mountain Bike Club and through the Consortium’s infrastructure program, a series of boardwalks have been added to speed things up.

“The infrastructure program was intended to ensure that each Consortium community had marketable trails that were consistent and well signed. The program has funded trail signage in Williams Lake, 100 Mile and Quesnel as well as targeted trail projects in the communities” explained Consortium Executive Director Justin Calof.

“As we near the end of the program, we’re pretty happy that we’ve undertaken projects in each community” said Calof.

Check out the new Stormrider this fall!
