The City of Williams Lake hosted the first weekend of free shuttles this weekend, with riders hitting the Westsyde on Saturday and Fox Mountain on Sunday. The shuttle delivered over 70 riders to the trails, including locals and out-of-region riders alike.

“We had people visiting from Chetwind, Prince George and other northern communities, as well as a bunch of local Williams Lake riders enjoying the service” said one of the organizers. “Everyone seemed really pleased and had said they had never seen a City offer such awesome mountain bike tourism service before” they explained.

The free shuttle service intends to support the ongoing efforts of the Cariboo Mountain Bike Consortium to grow the economic impact of mountain biking in the region, as well as pilot the potential business opportunity of a shuttle service in the City and investigate its potential viability.

The shuttles will be running every weekend in July. For a schedule of pick-up locations, click here
