Deep Blue Soda is Prime – Beta to Get You Out There

Jane Welburn
Have you checked out the trails out at Soda Creek yet this season? This just in from one of our local builder/riders (Tom Schoen, First Journey Trails):
Hey guys,
A shameless plug about “Deep Blue Soda”. Our newest 23km XC trail is prime right now. We rode it yesterday and if you’re up for 1/2 day ride, you should do it now. Mitch dialed it in. Start at Deep Creek and get your first climb over with, sweet descent to Lynnes Creek and another long climb. Then it’s awesome views and long XC towards Blue Lake. From the main Soda Creek top shuttle accesss trailhead, take the DH trail to Hippsta DH and hit the “Seperator” on your way down. Cross the culvert under 97 and don’t miss the left turn to the new river connector, a bi-directional trail that adds another 5km flowy DH to the ride (I need to get it on Trailforks and sign it, approx. 100m after the culvert to riders left {update: it’s here}). Best place to leave shuttle vehicles is at the Heritage Village viewing platform. Plan 3.5 to 4.5 hours for the full ride. You can shorten it up by starting at Lynnes Creek Rd. acces point (see Trailforks).
Huge “Thanks” to Mitch, Chris, Sky, Jeremy, Kurt, Desi, Miriam and the Xats’ull Trail Crew.
The crew started working towards fox Mountain a week ago. Making good progress paralleling Mountain House Rd.
Ride On!
Tom
