Smashin’ Smoothies

Smashin’ Smoothies is a new coffee and juice bar in Williams Lake that opened in 2013. Local shop owner Kim Kaytor is an avid mountain biker and supporter and is eager to tend to the needs of thirsty riders. Kim offers rider specials throughout the summer, and if you show up on your bike, you’ll get a free energy booster shot!

When Kim opened earlier this year, we asked he a few questions about how her business would support mountain biking.

Consortium: First off, what kind of bike do you ride?

Kim: Well I have a couple bikes. A Norco Fluid with full XT for pedaling and a Norco Six for the DH.

Consortium: How will your new shop support mountain biking in Williams Lake and the Cariboo?

Kim: Well, as a rider I’ll always support mountain biking and the efforts of the Consortium and Williams Lake Cycling Club in the region. More specifically, if you roll by with your bike and quote ‘ride the cariboo’ you’l get a free energy shot and whatever else I feel like feeding you! We have a bunch of different smoothie concoctions that are designed to maximize your performance and keep you pedaling all day.

That sounds too good to resist. Make sure to drop by Smashin’ Smoothies on your trip to the Cariboo.
